Just Write.

I think the main thing I’ve learnt throughout the years is when it comes to writers block…. JUST WRITE. I find it very helpful to just write. It doesn’t matter what I’m writing, just as long as I’m writing. Lately I’ve been gravitating towards blogging. I’ve had a personal blog for a few years now and I love writing over there. It’s a place where I can just let go and write about whatever I need to get off my chest. It’s also a place where I can talk about my practices and beliefs. I’m so grateful that I have my personal blog where I can just write it out.

Don’t get me wrong, sometimes it does feel like pulling teeth. Like I have to dig and dig just to find something worth writing about but once I’m finished I feel so much better. I can actually sit back and look at what I’ve written and smile.

Something else I enjoy doing is free writing. I take a blank page and just start writing, it doesn’t matter what I write, just as long as I’m writing. There have been a few times that I’ve loved what I came up with and grew it into something more. This practice also challenges me in a different way because I’m writing by hand, it get’s messy and painful but there’s nothing like looking at my notebook or pages filled with words. It’s something tangible to remind me what it feels like to be a writer.

We create worlds and stories from nothing and there isn’t another magic like it. Writing is magic. So just write.

We can do this. I believe in us.
